A home is the largest single investment most people make in their life. Buying a home is an emotional, stressful and important decision. What repairs may be needed and what reasonable cost can you anticipate? Home Front can give you the answers.
All Home Front inspections exceed the standards of practice of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI) and the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI), the most comprehensive standards in Canada. The inspection is a visual examination of the readily accessible components of the major systems of the home including Heating, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, Air Conditioning, Roofing, Exterior, Insulation, and Interior.
We begin the inspection on the exterior starting with the roof, gutters, downspouts, siding, windows, doors, decks, foundations, grading, attached garage, everything that would reflect the present condition of your house. Then I proceed inside to the basement and look through every room inspecting components of each system of the home including the attic.
An inspection takes about 3 hours to complete. We encourage you to be present and follow the inspector during the inspection. Ask questions about the home, its condition; the repairs and required maintenance that may be necessary. Together, we can view and talk about issues as they come up so that you receive the highest value from your home inspection.
Your Home Front inspection includes a report on the condition of the home with photographs taken during your inspection, links to reference material, detailed illustrations and the complete text of the Home Reference Book, the most comprehensive reference book for new homeowners.
